About Us
It’s more than just a name. Stronger Music is about resourcing educators to help ensembles sound their absolute best.
Our brand’s founder, Jonathan Martin, came up with the idea for the Stronger Music imprint at age 16. Encouraged to write band arrangements & compositions by his high school band director, Jonathan’s first experience creating music was for his high school band, which consisted of about 30 members. Even then, he realized the need for educational resources that served all kinds of ensembles, both large and small, and students from a variety of backgrounds.
After working for nearly a decade as a freelance musician working with everyone from high school bands to Grammy award-winning artists, Jonathan officially launched Stronger Music Company in the Fall of 2025 to provide the best musical resources for today’s modern music educator. We don’t just believe music education changes lives; we’ve seen it over and over through stories like those of our founder, Jonathan.

Our Concert Band catalog of works includes lower to mid-level literature for use in beginning, middle, and intermediate band classrooms.

Our Marching Band catalog is built on solid options for small ensembles and developing bands, with growing options for bands of all sizes.
STRING ORCHESTRA
Our String Orchestra catalog is built as an accessible entrance to the world of Orchestra for young musicians and includes a solid array of beginner to mid-level literature.

Internships at Stronger Music
Stronger Music offers internship opportunities for students and emerging professionals interested in music publishing, music education, arranging, editing, marketing, and arts administration.
Interns gain hands-on experience working on real projects, including music engraving, score preparation, editorial review, marketing initiatives, catalog development, and other aspects of educational music publishing. Our internships are currently unpaid and are designed to provide meaningful professional experience, mentorship, and portfolio-building opportunities. Academic credit may be available through your college or university where applicable.

The Music Engraving & Editing Intern will assist with the preparation and refinement of musical scores and parts for publication. This role is ideal for students interested in music notation, composition, and the inner workings of educational publishing.

Business/Publishing Operations Intern: Fall 2026
The Business/Publishing Operations Intern will support the administrative/ development side of Stronger Music’s publishing activities. This role is ideal for students interested in music business, publishing administration, or arts entrepreneurship as students will gain real-world insight to the inner workings and day-to-day operations of operating a real-world publishing company such as product management, creative asset management, and catalog operations.
